Who Should Consider It?
This processor is intended for high-end workstation builds where software can use its core count, memory bandwidth and PCIe connectivity. Examples include CPU rendering, engineering simulation, complex compilation and other heavily threaded professional workloads. Actual performance depends on the application and system configuration.
For everyday office use or gaming-focused systems, a workstation platform may be unnecessary. Compare the requirements of your software and the total platform cost before choosing this CPU class.
