Switch Swapping Notes

The M87 Pro V2 uses hot-swap sockets compatible with both 3-pin and 5-pin mechanical switches. When swapping switches, align the pins carefully to avoid bending them. The included 2-in-1 keycap and switch puller makes the process tool-free. The pre-installed White Jade switches are pre-lubricated from the factory.

Wireless Mode Recommendations

For gaming, use 2.4GHz wireless mode with the included receiver for the lowest latency. Bluetooth 5.0 is better suited for productivity devices like laptops, tablets, or phones where ultra-low latency is less critical. The keyboard supports switching between devices depending on your workflow.

📐 Layout and Desk Setup

The 80% ANSI TKL layout removes the numpad while retaining arrow keys, function row, and navigation cluster. The keyboard has a raised profile, so a wrist rest may improve comfort during long typing sessions. The side-printed keycaps place legends on the front edge facing the user, which keeps the top surface clean while remaining readable with backlighting.

Start by connecting via USB-C to charge the 5000mAh battery fully and to set up any software customizations. For gaming sessions, switch to 2.4GHz wireless mode with the included receiver for the most responsive connection. Use Bluetooth 5.0 for pairing with tablets or phones when you need to switch between devices quickly. The gasket mount and five-layer dampening produce a softer, quieter typing experience than traditional tray-mount keyboards, so allow a brief adjustment period if you are coming from a stiffer board. If you want to change the feel, the hot-swap sockets accept both 3-pin and 5-pin switches without soldering. The side-printed keycaps are PBT, which resists shine and wear better than ABS. Pair with a wrist rest if you type for extended periods, as the keyboard sits at a raised angle.
