Measure Your Desk Before Ordering

The pad measures 900 x 400 mm, so it requires a desk at least 100cm wide to sit flat with some margin. Because the pad is 3mm thick, it sits slightly above the desk surface. Check that your keyboard and mouse fit within the 900 x 400 mm area without overhang.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Because the surface is water-resistant, you can wipe spills with a damp cloth. For deeper cleaning, use mild soap and lukewarm water, then air dry the pad flat. Avoid washing machines and hot water, because heat can warp the rubber base and damage the stitched edges. Keep the pad away from direct sunlight for long periods to prevent fading.

📐 Surface and Mouse Feet Compatibility

The SPEEDSILK surface works with both hard and soft mouse feet. However, worn PTFE feet can feel scratchy on coated surfaces. If the glide feels inconsistent, replace the mouse feet. For low-DPI FPS players, the low-friction surface supports smooth tracking. For high-DPI office work, the surface resistance is enough to prevent overshooting small targets.

Before placing the pad on your desk, clean the surface with a dry cloth to remove dust or oil. Because the pad has a rubber base, it will grip better on a clean, smooth surface. Place the pad with the stitched edge facing up and the rubber side down. Position your keyboard at the center-left and your mouse at the center-right to make use of the full 900 x 400 mm area. If you play low-DPI FPS games, position your mouse near the right edge so you have maximum horizontal travel. For cleaning, wipe spills immediately with a damp cloth and air dry flat. Avoid folding the pad, because creases can damage the surface coating. Because the pad is water-resistant, you do not need to treat it with sprays or coatings. Replace the pad if the surface feels uneven, if the edges begin to fray, or if the rubber base loses grip after heavy use.
