The Noctua NH-D15 G2 LBC (Low Base Convexity) variant is specifically optimized for relatively flat CPUs. This ensures excellent contact quality on AMD AM5 even without the offset mounting, as well as on other comparably flat CPUs (e.g., AM4, LGA2066, LGA2011, lapped or custom flat heatspreaders). This optimized base convexity maximizes thermal transfer efficiency.

Despite its size, the NH-D15 G2 delivers superior cooling performance. Its dual-tower heatsink design, combined with multiple heat pipes, efficiently dissipates heat from your CPU. The heatsink material consists of copper (base and heat-pipes) and aluminium (cooling fins), with soldered joints and nickel plating for optimal thermal transfer and durability.
