Thermal Grizzly Intel 13th 14th Generation Lapping Tool

Thermal Grizzly Intel 13th 14th Generation Lapping Tool SPECIFICATIONS:

• Color: Clear
• Material: Acrylic
• Socket Manufacturer: Intel
• Socket Type: LGA 1700

Overview

The Lapping-Tool for Intel’s 13th/14th Gen processors is a precision-engineered tool designed to safely lap (sand down) the heat spreader of compatible CPUs. By reducing the heat spreader thickness by up to 0.2 millimeters , this tool improves the thermal interface between the CPU and the cooler, enhancing thermal performance. The process involves mounting the CPU on the tool using enclosed screws and sandpaper of varying grit sizes.

Key Features

• Compatibility : Designed for Intel 13th/14th Gen processors (also compatible with 12th Gen Core CPUs ).
• Material : Constructed from CNC-milled acrylic glass , ensuring high precision and durability.
• Tolerance : Allows the heat spreader to be ground down by 0.2 millimeters , indicated by ridges on the acrylic glass.
• Included Sandpaper : Comes with three grit sizes for progressive sanding:
  • 400 Grit
  • 1200 Grit
  • 2500 Grit

Scope of Delivery

• 1x Lapping-Tool
• 4x Screws
• 4x PU Washers
• 1x Hexagon Socket Spanner (2.5mm)
• 1x Sandpaper (400 Grit)
• 1x Sandpaper (1200 Grit)
• 1x Sandpaper (2500 Grit)

How It Works

1. Mounting the CPU : Secure the processor onto the Lapping-Tool using the provided screws and PU washers.
2. Sanding Process : Use the included sandpaper in sequence (400 → 1200 → 2500 grit) to progressively lap the heat spreader.
3. Stopping Point : The acrylic glass features 0.2mm-high ridges that indicate when to stop sanding. Once the ridges are completely removed, the process is complete.

Benefits

• Improved Thermal Performance : Reducing the heat spreader thickness enhances the contact surface with the CPU cooler, improving heat dissipation.
• Precision Design : CNC-milled acrylic ensures consistent results and prevents over-sanding.
• Complete Kit : Includes all necessary tools and materials for a seamless lapping process.

Important Notes

• Single Use Recommended : The Lapping-Tool is designed for a single use due to wear during the sanding process.
• Warranty Void : Grinding the CPU will invalidate the manufacturer’s warranty. Proceed at your own risk.
• Cooler Base Preparation : To maximize thermal performance, it is recommended to also lap the base plate of the CPU cooler.

Use Cases

• Enthusiast Builds : Ideal for overclockers and enthusiasts seeking to optimize thermal performance for higher sustained clock speeds.
• DIY Modifications : Suitable for advanced users performing custom modifications to improve cooling efficiency.
• Compatibility : Works with Intel 12th, 13th, and 14th Gen Core CPUs , ensuring broad compatibility across recent generations.

المواصفات الفنية
