Remove the old cooler and clean both the CPU heat spreader and the cooler base with isopropyl alcohol (90% or higher) and a lint-free cloth. Let the surfaces dry completely before applying new paste. For Kryonaut Extreme, the thinner the layer, the better the performance, so use the applicator to apply a small amount in the center of the heat spreader and spread it into a very thin, even layer using a plastic card or the TG Spatula. Mount the cooler and tighten the screws in a diagonal pattern, one turn at a time, to ensure even pressure.
