Logitech G502 Hero Wired Gaming Mouse
Logitech G502 Hero is a wired gaming mouse built around the HERO 25K optical sensor (100–25,600 DPI), 11 programmable buttons, a five-piece 3.6 g tunable weight system, a dual-mode hyper-fast scroll wheel, LIGHTSYNC RGB (1 zone), and onboard memory for up to 5 profiles. Consequently, it suits competitive gamers and precision-focused users who prefer a heavier, fully wired mouse with macro capability.
What is it? A wired, right-handed gaming mouse with the HERO 25K optical sensor (100–25,600 DPI), 11 programmable buttons, tunable weights, and onboard memory for 5 profiles.
Who is it for? Competitive FPS/MOBA players and power users who prefer a heavier, wired mouse with macro capability.
Key limitation: Wired USB only — no wireless or Bluetooth. Right-handed only. G HUB software required for macros and DPI customization.
Why Choose the Logitech G502 Hero?
- HERO 25K sensor — 100–25,600 DPI with 400+ IPS and zero smoothing, filtering, or acceleration.
- 11 programmable buttons — bind macros, DPI shift, and shortcuts via Logitech G HUB.
- Tunable weight system — five 3.6 g weights (up to 18 g) positionable front, rear, left, right, or center.
- Dual-mode metal scroll wheel — switch between hyper-fast free-spin and click-to-click precision.
- Onboard memory — store up to 5 profiles on the mouse; use them on any PC without reinstalling software.
- LIGHTSYNC RGB — 1-zone lighting configurable via G HUB.
Inside the G502 Hero
HERO 25K Optical Sensor
The HERO 25K sensor tracks from 100 to 25,600 DPI with zero smoothing, filtering, or acceleration. As a result, cursor behaviour remains consistent across the full DPI range — a requirement for competitive play where predictable aim matters more than peak numbers.
Tunable Weight & Balance
Five 3.6 g weights (up to 18 g added) can be placed in front, rear, left, right, or center positions to tune mass distribution. Meanwhile, the base weight sits at 121 g, so the mouse is deliberately heavier than ultralight alternatives. For that reason, it appeals most to users who value stability over rapid flick speed.
Dual-Mode Scroll Wheel & LIGHTSYNC RGB
A metal scroll wheel toggles between hyper-fast free-spin and click-to-click precision using a button directly behind the wheel. Beyond that, the LIGHTSYNC RGB zone is configured through G HUB, so you can align lighting with the rest of your setup.

Compatibility & Limitations
Please read before purchase. The G502 Hero is a right-handed, wired-only mouse. It is not ambidextrous, and it does not support wireless operation.
Hardware & Hand Orientation
- Hand orientation: right-handed only; side buttons and thumb rest are shaped for the right hand.
- Connection: wired USB with a braided cable — no wireless or Bluetooth option.
- Polling rate: 1000 Hz (1 ms) over USB.
- Weight: 121 g base, up to approximately 139 g with all five weights installed.
Software & Profiles
- Software: Logitech G HUB (Windows / macOS / Chrome OS) is needed to remap buttons, change DPI stages, and customise RGB.
- Basic use: cursor movement and clicking work without installing G HUB.
- Onboard memory: up to 5 profiles — bindings travel with the mouse to any PC.
