Gas Piston Mechanism

The MBD1 features a built-in gas piston that assists with height adjustment and holds the monitor securely in place. Unlike spring-based arms that can sag over time, gas pistons are rigorously tested for strength and long-term stability. Adjust the tension screw to match the weight of your monitor if you notice any drift or difficulty in positioning.

📐 Desk Space and Mounting

Before purchase, verify that your desk thickness falls within the supported 15-80 mm range. The MBD1 offers two mounting methods: a C-clamp for easy installation on the desk edge, and a grommet mount for desks with an existing cable hole. Ensure the mounting point is clear of obstructions and that the desk surface can support the weight of both monitors and the arm assembly. The arm span reaches 400-900 mm, so measure your available desk width to confirm the dual-monitor configuration fits.

🔩 VESA and Monitor Compatibility

The MBD1 supports both 75×75 mm and 100×100 mm VESA patterns, covering the vast majority of monitors from 13 to 32 inches. Each arm supports 2-9 kg. Check your monitor’s VESA pattern and weight before installation. If your monitor uses a recessed VESA mount, you may need spacers (not included) to ensure a secure fit. The tilt range of -60° to +90° allows for portrait and landscape orientations.

Before installation, verify that your desk thickness falls within the 15-80 mm range and that your monitors are VESA-compatible (75×75 mm or 100×100 mm) and weigh between 2-9 kg. For best ergonomics, position the monitors so the top of the screen is at or slightly below eye level, and angle them slightly inward for a natural viewing curve. Use the integrated cable management slots to route display and power cables along the arm, keeping your desk surface clear. If you notice the arm sagging under load, adjust the gas piston tension screw to match your monitor’s weight. When switching between landscape and portrait orientation, loosen the VESA plate screws, rotate the monitor, and retighten securely.
