ID-COOLING SE-802-SD V3 95W 2200 RPM 80mm 3 Pin Air CPU Cooler
ID-COOLING SE-802-SD V3 is a compact air CPU cooler with 2x 6mm direct-touch heatpipes, aluminum fins, and an 80mm hydraulic bearing fan running at 2200 RPM. It is rated for 95W TDP and supports Intel LGA1851/1700/1200/115X and AMD AM5/AM4 sockets. Because it stands only 116mm tall, it fits small form factor cases and slim builds where larger coolers cannot. Available at Alfrensia for 475 EGP.
⚡ Engineering Highlights at a Glance:
- 95W TDP Rating: Handles mainstream desktop processors without moving to a larger tower cooler.
- 2x 6mm Direct-Touch Heatpipes: Heatpipes sit directly on the CPU surface for fast heat transfer.
- 80mm Hydraulic Bearing Fan: Runs at 2200 RPM with 28.7 CFM airflow and 1.88 mmH2O static pressure.
- Low Noise: Rated at 23.3 dB(A) maximum, which makes it quiet under normal loads.
- Compact 116mm Height: Fits small form factor and slim cases where taller coolers cannot.
- Wide Socket Support: Intel LGA1851/1700/1200/115X and AMD AM5/AM4 out of the box.
- Lightweight 290g: Reduces stress on the motherboard and simplifies installation.
Compact Form Factor for Slim Builds
The SE-802-SD V3 measures 115 x 65 x 116 mm and weighs only 290g. Because of its compact footprint, it fits small form factor cases, slim HTPC builds, and office desktops where standard 155mm tower coolers cannot. The low height also keeps the cooler clear of side panels and top-mounted components. As a result, builders working with mini-ITX or micro-ATX cases have a reliable air cooling option without needing to move to a low-profile liquid cooler.
Direct-Touch Heatpipe Design
Two 6mm copper heatpipes sit directly against the CPU surface. Because the heatpipes touch the processor directly, there is no intermediate copper plate. This direct-touch design reduces thermal resistance and speeds up heat transfer from the CPU to the aluminum fin stack. The fins then dissipate the heat into the airflow generated by the 80mm fan. For 95W processors, this design provides sufficient cooling at low noise levels.
80mm Fan with Hydraulic Bearing
The cooler ships with a single 80mm fan that spins at 2200 RPM with a ±10% tolerance. It pushes 28.7 CFM of airflow with 1.88 mmH2O of static pressure. Because the fan uses a hydraulic bearing, it runs quietly and lasts longer than a sleeve bearing. The rated maximum noise is 23.3 dB(A), which is low enough for office use and quiet living room builds. The fan uses a 3-pin connector, so the motherboard controls its speed through voltage regulation rather than PWM.
Wide Socket Compatibility
The mounting kit supports Intel LGA1851, LGA1700, LGA1200, and LGA115X, as well as AMD AM5 and AM4. Because the cooler includes all required brackets and backplates, you can install it on current-generation Intel Core Ultra and AMD Ryzen platforms without additional purchases. The 290g weight is light enough to mount without reinforcing the motherboard, and the compact tower design keeps memory clearance open on most ATX and micro-ATX boards.
Build Quality and Installation
The aluminum fin stack is dense enough to dissipate heat efficiently at 95W TDP, while the open fin design reduces airflow resistance. Because the cooler uses a standard mounting pattern, installation takes only a few minutes with the included hardware. The fan clips onto the heatsink, so removal for cleaning does not require tools. For maintenance, use compressed air to remove dust from the fin stack and fan blades every few months. Because the fan uses a hydraulic bearing, it does not require oiling or other maintenance during its lifespan.

Expert Advice & Build Considerations
Verify TDP and Case Clearance
The SE-802-SD V3 is rated for 95W TDP. Because most modern Intel Core i5 and AMD Ryzen 5 processors run within this range, the cooler works well for mainstream builds. For higher-wattage CPUs such as Core i7 or Ryzen 7, consider a larger tower cooler. Confirm your case supports at least 116mm CPU cooler height before ordering.
3-Pin Fan Speed Control
The 80mm fan uses a 3-pin connector. Most motherboards control 3-pin fans through voltage regulation rather than PWM. In the BIOS, set the CPU fan header to DC mode, then choose a fan curve that keeps the fan under 1500 RPM at idle for quiet operation. Because 3-pin fans cannot be PWM-controlled, some boards may run them at full speed by default.
📐 Thermal Paste and Mounting
Apply a pea-sized dot of thermal paste to the center of the CPU heat spreader. Because the heatpipes contact the CPU directly, spread the paste evenly across the contact area. Tighten the mounting screws in a diagonal pattern, one turn at a time, to ensure even pressure. For AMD AM4 and AM5 sockets, the stock motherboard backplate is retained; for Intel sockets, use the included backplate.

Expert Recommendation: Getting the Most from Your SE-802-SD V3
Before building, confirm your case supports at least 116mm CPU cooler height and that your processor runs within the 95W TDP rating. For best results, set the CPU fan header to DC mode in the BIOS so the 3-pin fan can be speed-controlled. Because the fan runs at up to 2200 RPM, keep the fan curve low at idle and ramp up under load for a good balance of silence and cooling. Clean the fin stack every few months with compressed air to prevent dust buildup, which can raise temperatures. If you plan to upgrade to a higher-wattage CPU later, consider a larger tower cooler instead of reusing this one. The included mounting hardware supports all current Intel and AMD sockets, so no additional brackets are needed.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the TDP rating of this cooler?
The SE-802-SD V3 is rated for 95W TDP. It works well with mainstream Intel Core i5 and AMD Ryzen 5 processors. For higher-wattage CPUs, consider a larger tower cooler.
Does the cooler fit in a small form factor case?
Yes. The cooler measures 115 x 65 x 116 mm, so it fits mini-ITX and slim micro-ATX cases that cannot accommodate taller tower coolers. Confirm your case supports at least 116mm CPU cooler height before ordering.
What sockets does this cooler support?
The cooler supports Intel LGA1851, LGA1700, LGA1200, and LGA115X, as well as AMD AM5 and AM4. All mounting hardware is included.
Is the fan PWM or voltage controlled?
The fan uses a 3-pin connector, which means it is voltage-controlled rather than PWM-controlled. Set the CPU fan header to DC mode in the BIOS to enable speed control.
How loud is the cooler?
The rated maximum noise level is 23.3 dB(A). At lower fan speeds, the cooler runs quietly and is suitable for office and living room builds.
