Performance and connectivity
The dual-band design provides separate 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi networks. The 5 GHz band supports higher link rates for compatible nearby devices, while 2.4 GHz can help connect devices that favour that band. Actual speeds and coverage depend on the internet service, home layout, interference and connected-device capabilities.
The DSL port connects to a compatible telephone-line broadband service. The Gigabit LAN/WAN port can also support a wired Ethernet WAN connection when configured for a compatible cable or fibre modem.

Frequently asked questions
Does the Archer VR600 support ADSL and VDSL?
Yes. TP-Link lists support for VDSL2, ADSL2+, ADSL2 and ADSL. Confirm that the exact unit and your internet provider’s line configuration are compatible.
Can I use it with a fibre or cable internet connection?
The LAN/WAN port supports a compatible Ethernet WAN setup, such as a connection from a separate fibre or cable modem. The provider’s equipment and configuration determine compatibility.
Are the advertised Wi-Fi rates guaranteed internet speeds?
No. The listed figures are maximum theoretical wireless link rates. Real-world throughput and coverage depend on the environment, interference, internet plan and client devices.
Can I extend coverage with OneMesh?
The Archer VR600 supports TP-Link OneMesh. Check compatibility with the specific extender model and hardware/firmware version before building a mesh network.
