⚡ Engineering Highlights at a Glance:
- 61-Key Compact Layout: A 60% form factor removes the numpad, arrow keys, and function row to free up desk space for mouse movement [citation:15][citation:24].
- RGB Backlighting: Adjustable RGB lighting with multiple modes and brightness levels, controlled through Fn shortcuts [citation:15][citation:29].
- Built-in Mobile Phone Groove: A dedicated slot on the keyboard holds your smartphone upright, keeping notifications visible during gaming or work [citation:11][citation:15][citation:29].
- Membrane Switches: Quiet membrane keys with a “mechanical feel” that provides tactile feedback without the loud click of mechanical switches [citation:1][citation:3][citation:11].
- Multimedia Fn Shortcuts: Control volume, media playback, and lighting effects using Fn key combinations [citation:11][citation:29].
- ABS Keycaps: Double-injection molded ABS keycaps resist wear and keep legends clear over time [citation:3][citation:4].
- Plug-and-Play USB: No drivers required. Connect the USB cable to any Windows PC or laptop and it works immediately [citation:11][citation:25].
Compact 60% Layout for Space and Portability
The F3061 uses a 61-key layout that removes the numeric keypad, dedicated arrow keys, and function row. Because the keyboard is significantly smaller than a full-size model, it frees up desk space for mouse movement, which is useful in FPS games and on compact desks [citation:15][citation:16]. The mini size also makes it easy to carry in a laptop bag for travel or use with a tablet [citation:7][citation:16]. Despite the smaller footprint, the essential keys remain accessible through Fn combinations, including the arrow keys and function row.
RGB Backlighting and Multimedia Controls
The keyboard features RGB backlighting with multiple color effects, including red, green, blue, purple, cyan, yellow, and white [citation:15]. You can cycle through lighting modes, adjust brightness, and change speed using Fn key combinations [citation:25][citation:29]. The lighting is evenly distributed across the keys, which makes the keyboard easy to use in low-light environments. In addition, the Fn key provides quick access to multimedia controls, including volume adjustment and playback controls, so you can manage music or videos without leaving your game [citation:11].
Membrane Switches and Typing Feel
The F3061 uses membrane switches that are quieter than mechanical switches, making it suitable for office environments, shared spaces, or late-night use [citation:3]. The keys provide a “mechanical feel” with tactile feedback and a crisp rebound, which gives a satisfying typing experience without the loud click of mechanical switches [citation:3][citation:13]. The ABS keycaps are durable and resist fading, and the keyboard includes a 22-key anti-ghosting design that prevents stuck keys during fast typing or gaming [citation:23].
Built-in Phone Groove for Desk Organization
A standout feature of the F3061 is the integrated mobile phone groove. This dedicated slot on the keyboard holds your smartphone upright and within view, so you can check notifications, messages, or calls without picking up the phone [citation:11][citation:15]. Because the phone sits in the groove, it also keeps your desk organized and reduces clutter [citation:4]. This makes the keyboard a practical choice for users who stream, game, or work while keeping their phone accessible.
Who is the AULA F3061 For?
Expert Advice & Build Considerations
Layout Adjustment Period
If you are coming from a full-size keyboard, the 61-key layout takes some adjustment. Keys like the arrow keys and function row are accessed through Fn combinations. Review the manual to learn the shortcuts for these keys, especially if you use them frequently in games or productivity tasks [citation:29].
Wired Connection Only
This keyboard uses a wired USB connection, so there is no wireless mode or battery to manage. The cable provides a stable, low-latency connection, which is ideal for gaming. Confirm your desk layout allows the cable to reach from your PC to your keyboard position [citation:15].
📐 Setup and Compatibility
The keyboard is plug-and-play with Windows operating systems, including Windows 2000, XP, 7, 8, and 10 [citation:11][citation:15]. No additional software is required for basic operation. The phone groove supports most standard smartphones, but check the groove width if you use a thick phone case [citation:29]. Clean the keyboard periodically with compressed air to prevent dust from affecting key performance.
