Back-Connect Design — Clean Cable Management
The MAG X870E TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI PZ features a back-connect design, relocating motherboard power, CPU power, fan pins, SATA, and other interfaces to the back of the motherboard. This allows for simpler cable management and a cleaner, more aesthetically pleasing appearance.
Ultra Performance — 14+2+1 Duet Rail Power
The MAG X870E TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI PZ features an aggressive VRM design with 14+2+1 Duet Rail Power System with 80A SPS. Dual 8-pin CPU power connectors and 8-layer PCB with 2oz thickened copper deliver stable, sustained power for high-end processors.
Build Clean with Back-Connect
The back-connect design relocates all power and interface connectors to the motherboard’s rear, delivering unmatched cable management and a pristine front-side aesthetic. Use EZ M.2 Clip II for tool-free SSD installation and EZ PCIe Release for easy GPU upgrades.
Optimal Efficiency & Extended Cooling
Extended Heatsink enlarges surface heat dissipation. Double-sided M.2 Shield Frozr keeps SSDs cool. 7W/mK thermal pads and enlarged chipset heatsink ensure stable performance under heavy loads.
Wi-Fi 7 & 5G LAN — Ultra Connect
True Wi-Fi 7 delivers speeds up to 5.8Gbps with MLO and 4KQAM. Realtek 5G LAN provides incredible data transfer speeds. The EZ Antenna with magnetic stand ensures stable wireless connections.
USB4 & Super Charger+
USB4 delivers up to 40Gbps transfer speeds with multiple device connectivity. Super Charger+ provides PD 27W fast charging on the dedicated front USB port for PD-compatible devices.

ℹ️ Important Technical Notes
Back-Connect Design: This motherboard features a back-connect design. Ensure your case supports this form factor for proper cable management. Power, CPU, fan, and SATA connectors are relocated to the rear.
M.2 & USB4 Bandwidth Sharing: USB 40Gbps Type-C ports and M2_2 slot share PCIe 5.0 x4 bandwidth. Both run at PCIe 5.0 x2 when a device is installed in M2_2. You can switch M2_2 to PCIe 5.0 x4 in BIOS, but this will disable USB 40Gbps Type-C ports.
Wi-Fi 7: 6GHz band support depends on country regulations. Wi-Fi 7 is ready in Windows 11 version 24H2. Bluetooth 5.4 also requires Windows 11 version 24H2.
