What does the 80 PLUS Platinum certification mean?

The 80 PLUS Platinum certification guarantees a very high energy efficiency, reaching 92% efficiency at 50% system load. This results in less wasted heat, lower operating temperatures, and reduced energy costs.

How does Seasonic ensure the stability of the output voltage?

Seasonic uses Micro Tolerance Load Regulation (MTLR), which keeps the output voltage within an extremely tight range (under 0.5% load regulation). This stability is crucial for ensuring the longevity and performance of sensitive components.

Does this PSU support the new PCIe Gen 5 graphics cards?

Yes, the PRIME PX-1600 is fully ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 compliant. It is equipped with the native 12V-2x6 connector (or 12VHPWR during transition) required to reliably power the newest high-end graphics cards.

Next-Gen Stability and Unwavering Performance for the PRIME PX-1600

Extreme Efficiency and Voltage Control

The PRIME PX-1600 achieves **80 PLUS Platinum efficiency**, backed by 105°C-rated Japanese capacitors for long-term reliability. Furthermore, **Micro Tolerance Load Regulation (MTLR)** keeps output voltage deviations under 0.5%. This impressive stability is critical for the reliable operation of sensitive components, especially when running extreme overclocking or multi-GPU setups.

Digital Hybrid Fan Control for Silent Operation

Seasonic’s **Digital Hybrid Fan Control** optimizes the unit’s cooling with three operational stages, including a **Fanless Mode** under low load for near-silent performance. In addition, the use of a Fluid Dynamic Bearing (FDB) fan generates considerably less operating noise and heat than standard fans. This robust construction greatly increases the fan’s lifespan and contributes to the unit’s class-leading 12-Year Warranty.

⚠️ Important Caution: ATX 3.1 Cable Transition

Due to the transition from the ATX 3.0 to the new **ATX 3.1** standard, customers may receive one of two versions of the PCIe 5.1 cable in the box:

Older Stock: 12VHPWR cable (ATX 3.0)
New Stock: 12V-2×6 cable (ATX 3.1)

Both cables are functional, but the 12V-2×6 is the updated connector.

💡 Pro Tip:

When connecting the 12V-2×6 cable to your GPU, ensure it is **fully inserted and click-locked** before powering on the system. Seasonic stresses this point, as incomplete connection can lead to instability under high loads. Utilize the Fanless Mode for silent operation during low-power tasks.
