Caramel Latte Switch: Heavier Linear Feel
The Caramel Latte switch is a linear mechanical switch with a 55g actuation force and 2.0mm pre-travel [citation:3]. Compared to lighter linear switches, it requires slightly more force to actuate, which can reduce accidental keystrokes during typing or gaming. The switch is pre-lubricated at the factory, so the keystroke is smooth from the first use. Because the total travel is 3.6mm, the switch bottoms out with a firm but not harsh feel [citation:10]. This makes the Caramel Latte switch a good fit for users who prefer a more deliberate, controlled typing experience.
Full-Size Layout with Tri-Mode Connectivity
The F108 keeps the full 108-key layout, so the numpad and dedicated function keys remain available for data entry, programming, and gaming [citation:1]. The keyboard connects through three modes: Bluetooth 5.0, 2.4GHz wireless, and USB-C wired [citation:4]. Bluetooth mode supports up to five paired devices, which lets you switch between a desktop, laptop, or tablet without reconnecting cables. The 2.4GHz and wired modes use a 1000Hz polling rate, which reduces input delay compared to Bluetooth [citation:1]. The keyboard is compatible with Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android systems [citation:4].
Gasket Mount and Five-Layer Sound Dampening
The F108 uses a gasket mount design. The PCB and plate are isolated from the case by silicone gaskets, which reduces vibration and produces a softer, more consistent keystroke [citation:5]. Five layers of internal foam absorb resonance and cavity noise. These layers are PO sandwich foam, PO switch pad, PET sound-enhancement pad, PO bottom foam, and a bottom silicone pad [citation:1]. As a result, the typing sound is described as creamy and controlled rather than hollow. This design also reduces noise levels, which makes the keyboard suitable for office environments or shared spaces [citation:8].
Who is the AULA F108 For?
Expert Advice & Build Considerations
Driver Requires Windows and Wired Mode
Macro programming and detailed RGB customization require the AULA driver software. The driver only supports Windows systems and requires a wired USB-C connection [citation:4]. Basic functions such as volume control, lighting mode cycling, and connection switching work without software.
Caramel Latte Switch Weight Considerations
Because the Caramel Latte switch has a 55g actuation force, it requires more effort per keystroke than lighter linear switches. Users accustomed to 40g or 45g switches may find it fatiguing for very long typing sessions. However, the heavier weight also reduces accidental keystrokes, which can be an advantage for gaming or precise data entry [citation:3].
📐 Charging and Battery Care
Use the included USB-C cable and connect to a computer for charging. Avoid fast-charging adapters, because they may damage the charging circuit. To extend battery life, lower the backlight brightness or turn off lighting effects when running wirelessly. The 4000mAh battery is rated for up to 200 hours with the backlight off [citation:1][citation:8].

Expert Recommendation: Getting the Most from Your F108
Before using the keyboard wirelessly, charge it fully using the included USB-C cable connected to a computer. Avoid fast-charging adapters, because they may damage the charging circuit. For gaming, switch to 2.4GHz mode with the included receiver for the lowest latency. Use Bluetooth mode for tablets and phones, where the 125Hz polling rate is sufficient and battery life is longer. The knob defaults to volume control; press FN + knob to cycle through lighting adjustment, language, and mode switching. If you plan to swap switches, the hot-swap sockets accept both 3-pin and 5-pin types [citation:4]. Because the Caramel Latte switch is heavier than typical linear switches, take a few days to adjust if you are coming from lighter switches. Use the two-stage kickstand to adjust the typing angle for comfort during long sessions [citation:1].
