Seagate Skyhawk 4Tb Surveillance Internal Desktop Hard Drive

The Seagate SkyHawk 4TB is an internal 3.5-inch surveillance hard drive designed for DVR/NVR video recording workloads. Its 4TB capacity and SATA 6 Gb/s interface make it a storage option for compatible surveillance systems. Seagate has multiple 4TB SkyHawk model suffixes, so exact cache, sustained transfer rate and supported system details must be matched to the label on the drive.

Designed for surveillance storage

• Recording-oriented family: SkyHawk drives are designed for surveillance systems rather than being marketed as general-purpose external drives.
• 4TB capacity: provides local storage for recorded footage; retention depends on camera count, resolution, frame rate and recording settings.
• SATA interface: requires a compatible 3.5-inch bay and SATA data/power connection in the DVR/NVR or computer.
• Model variants: 4TB SkyHawk versions differ by suffix and can have different cache and transfer-rate specifications.
